Voting information
The students can nominate online all the lecturers whose lectures they have attended. Neither title, nor origin or research qualities are relevant. What counts are personal commitment and teaching quality.
If at the outset in 2005, exclusively the number of nominations of a lecturer was decisive, since 2006 the new E-voting procedure bases on a Bachelor thesis of a student and takes into account several meaningful special cases. A complicated algorithm, for example, aligns the score of lecturers of big audiences with the one of lecturers teaching smaller classes, to ensure fair rating.
Based on the statistical results, the student association of each department appoints the final winner. Teaching materials, the lecturer’s commitment beyond the readings, and the quality of their supervision of students are also considered.
